Work after EA?

When will I be able to go back to work? My Dr. thinks this is best for me and wants to do it in 2 weeks. I dont know how much time to take off. He says it depends on your body.

How long did you wait to have sex after EA?

I found myself after recovery, Being more "ready" then ever for sex. I had the novasure procedure done, and Really had NO pain at all, My discharge stopped ... and I was ready to have sex, We tried last night, and I didn't hurt at all, I'm surprised ... I thought it would be alot worse then It was... I dont wanna mess anything up, But ... Sometimes, you can't fight those urges. ;] How long did you all wait?

Novasure will be RIGHT BEFORE PERIOD - Help!

I am obviously going to call the doctor tomorrow. At first I thought I'd be having a period by Thursday but now it appears that my body is actually not having an ultra short cycle (the usual). Go figure. My doctor thought that having my period would still be okay as everything would be sloughing off. Has anyone had novasure right before they were going to start? Help!

Half Hour Period

I had an endometrial ablation about 7-8 years ago (I can't remember when). I had no period for about 6 years. Then I had it monthly for about 18 months, until this past May. I then had no period for 5 months. Then it showed up one day full force and lasted about 3 days. Now I seem to get it about once a month for about a 1/2 hour (at the most).

Is this normal? I have not been to an OB-GYN in about 2 years. I've moved and have not found a new one.

Hi Ladies!

I was hoping some of you can tell me which EA is most effective?

Are there more risks associated w/ one over the other?

I read something about fluid getting stuck in the bloodstream causing a major problem but dont know which EA this is with.

Also, sepsis.........

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all. I am the one who posted joining the new here group. I had my ablation on Thursday, Dec 10. I figured I would update and inquire.

Well I had called the OB spoke to the nurse and asked some questions a few days before the procedure. We talked about my concerns and I felt a lot better with my decision to do this. I started my pain meds as instructed and showed up at the office at noon like I was suppose to. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hrs. I was finally taken back...

I found this message board a little while before my surgery, but found it too stressful to read, as I am a nervous patient type of person.

I had my endo resection on the 8th and doing well. I have not had any bleeding or discharge other than a teensy bit immediately following the surgery. I have had some cramping, but nothing that ibuprofen doesn't take care of.

I had horrible polyps and bleeding (I was in an adult diaper all summer!) and had to take cyclomen to stop...

Who's had Novasure in dr's office awake?

I am having Novasure next month in the dr's office without anesthesia and quite nervous about it. I had the endometrial biopsy today and it hurt very badly. Can anyone please tell me about their in-office awake procedures and what to expect?

I'm pretty nervous about this all. I know I'm done having children but this has still been hard for me to decide on. I'm ready though but now that the surgery is getting closer (the 17th) - I'm worried. How long will recovery REALLY take? My doctor assures me I'll be okay to travel on the 27th but I'm nervous. This seemed to happen to me -- I was age 50 with NO signs of endometriosis until I had a successful ablation. I am alittle over 5 months post ea and finally things have settled down. I was starting to think that having the ea was a horrible decision for me, but this month has changed my mind. The previous 4 months have been so messed up with the severe breast soreness, the terrible bloating and cramping and the unpredictable cycle. I never knew when I was going to start my period, once it was at 35 days another time is was at 43 days, with all of them being much lighter...

I had my ablation five years ago and I just wanted to say this site was so much more helpful to me than any doctors, nurses, or reading I did.

Having the ablation is the best thing I ever did for my health! I am scheduled Dec 17th for a tubal and novasure under general anesthesia! I can't believe I'm going to do this but I'm also ready. Tomorrow is my preop appt and I'll be sure to ask him lots of questions - mainly about if biopsy is needed and recovery. I'm nervous because I have at trip planned Dec 27th. Well, had my EA yesterday (Friday) in the Doc office. The procedure itself that about what I expected, even though I opted for the "awake" drugs rather than the general anesthesia- no worse than intense (and I've had 3 big babies w/o meds) labor pains.
