Re: EA today  (reply)
Much better day today. The cramps are gone, thank God. They stopped around 10:30 p.m. and I was able to get a good night sleep. Thank you for your encouragment, it really helped get me through.

Re: EA today  (reply)
Tammy How are you feeling today? Hoping you are better and on the road to easier periods. Try not to be discouraged. Cramping is part of the after procedure. Some have more severe cramps than others, but they should not last too long. Take your meds, ...

Re: EA today  (reply)
Thank you very much for your responses. I am starting to feel a little better although the medicine seems to be upsetting my stomach. I am taking motrin and vicodin (alternating every 2 hours). I wasn't sure I was ready for this procedure and now having ...

Cramps (reply)
Hi Tammy, I hope you are feeling better. Yes, I had severe cramps that first day that eased off the second day. I used Percocet + Ibuprofen, and that was very helpful. Please call your doctor if you have pain--it should not be something you have to endure ...

Re: New Member - considering "Her option" ablation  (reply)
Thank you so much for the information. I do have my tubes tied. No more pregnancies here. I go tomorrow to see exactly what my doctor is going to do. Had ultrasound done this week to make sure all is okay there and the ablation can be scheduled. Pretty ...

Re: EA today  (reply)
Hi Tammy Congrats on getting thru with your procedure. Cramping seems to be a common companion after the ablation. Did your Dr give you prescription meds? Make sure you take the meds for the first few days if needed. I found that a heating pad was my ...

EA today  (topic)
Hello everyone, my name is Tammy Brown and I just had an EA today. It was performed in office and now I have severe cramping. My question is is this normal? They feel almost like contractions and nothing seems to take away or even minimize the pain. Any ...

Re: I have been given a date!!  (reply)
YAY! Now the fun begins (the waiting, that is.) I had the same problem with my b.p. and the doc did the same thing-- only needed to take it twice after chatting about happy things and it was back to normal. You shouldn't have any problem with that. ...

I have been given a date!!  (topic)
Just back from the consultant and all systems are go. Apparently my uterus is "the perfect shape" (yay me - got something right anyway!) and I'm an excellent candidate. So, I'm scheduled for a general anaesthetic hysteroscopy and MEA (I didn't ask for ...

Re: New Member - considering "Her option" ablation  (reply)
Hi aubrey, I had researched the Her Option, and was planning on having that done. My doctor ended up changing it (without telling me) because we decided to do the Essure procedure at the same time, and the balloon method was approved for doing them ...

Re: The roller coaster  (reply)
After a functional cyst ruptures there's a little free fluid they can sometimes catch if the ultrasound happens immediately after the rupture, but even that evidence will often be absorbed or discharged within 24 hours - then there's nothing to see until ...

Re: New Member - considering "Her option" ablation  (reply)
It's been a while since we had another cryoablation, if I recall correctly, so you might search the older posts on the discussion area. Her Option has the same statistics and recovery as the other forms of ablation. Occasionally it has a 'wetter' ...

Re: 26 hours post procedure  (reply)
Welcome to the other side Discharge is pretty common, although some people get none at all. For most of us it starts about day 3, but it can come anytime during the first two weeks. If you pass that, you probably won't see anything until period time. ...

Re: Had Novasure on Friday, Nov. 6...my experience--can I answer any questions?  (reply)
Yup, that's the "tire easily for about 2 weeks" part of recovery.... Your body is sending all its resources to the ute. Dehydration can also contribute - we tend to underestimate how much fluid replacement we need during recovery. I don't know what the ...

Re: Essure and Novasure  (reply)
Hi Steffany, Interesting how each doctor has their preferences. I had the Essure done at the same time as my ablation, however my doctor changed the ablation type to the ThermaChoice balloon method because it was approved to be done at the same time. ...

Re: The roller coaster  (reply)
redbird, it's always a relief to get those good results back from tests. Even if they are just routine, and you don't expect anything to be wrong, there is always some anxiety until you hear for sure. Now I hope that they can figure out your pain and get ...

Essure and Novasure  (topic)
I would very much like to hear from people who have had both these procedures. I've heard that they can be done together, but my doc recommends that they be done separately (Essure first). I'm a bit under the gun time wise, since my insurance deductible ...

Re: The roller coaster  (reply)
Hooray for good news! I don't think doctors realize just how nerve wracking it is for us to be waiting for biopsy results. To them it's nothing special, but for patients it's pretty anxiety-producing. I have a friend whose right ovary plays hide and ...

Re: 26 hours post procedure  (reply)
HI, I am 19 days into post novasure ablation. I went to work on the third day after. Discharge was minimal, light pad will do. I had cramping/discomfort when I over did things, (nothing bad enough to take meds for). I was tired after a full day I hit ...
