With non-stop BCP, it is hard to tell if you would have had bleeding or not. Have you stopped taking the pill, or did the bleeding occur even with the pill?

I think you are right to see your dr asap - whatever the cause, sudden flooding is something your dr needs to evaluate.

It is possible that you have had substantial regrowth, but it isn't very common to have that result in flooding, as you say, it is more common to see a gradual increase in blood. It is also possible that you have developed either fibroids or polyps, which can be the culprit in sudden bleeding. I have to agree with you, that if it was primarily the HRT that was keeping you bloodless, that hyst is the most probable next step. It is always possible that a 2nd EA, or a different form of HRT would help, though.
