Debbie -- Talk about sticker shock! I'd aim for Decorating Cents!

We divided a room that way once when we had to put my son and daughter in the same room for a time. Bookcases and a curtain work just fine! (We used 2, and faced them opposite directions so that the kids each had one they could use. We also put cork on the backs so they had bulletin boards, too.) You could at least do it as a temporary solution to help spread your costs out a bit -- do the fence first, then if you still want to make a permanent division to the room, do that later when the budget has recovered a bit. You may find that the bookcases and curtains work well enough that you won't have to do anything else.

Things are hopping here. I'm finishing out my term on our local Chamber of Commerce board, and will be throwing a party at the end of this month for all those I served with over the past 6 years and their SO's. If everybody comes, there will be about 50 people! We're using every available minute to spruce up the house and yard... with only 2 weekends left, we're also spending 30 minutes every evening to finish projects and get the place in order. Just pray that the weather is good on the weekends so that we can finish up outside!

Our biggest challenge is that we have raccoons in the attic. They got in by pulling out the screen around the attic fan. And now they have babies up there. Somehow we have to drive them out and put up a new barrier that will keep them out. Problem is, how do we know they're all out before we close off their access? I don't want any to die up there due to lack of food or water....

Anybody with ideas?
