Hi Michelle,

I remember asking my doctor about the brownish discharge. Post-EA I experienced about a 2- or 3-day very light period with the "normal" red blood, then maybe a day of nothing, then another couple days of the brownish discharge. I can't recall the exact explanation from the doctor, but he did say that was normal and nothing to be concerned about. It basically has to do with the fact that the blood is "older", giving it that brownish color. I think because of the reduced volume, it doesn't always get expelled as quickly or thoroughly. And unfortunately, the PMS symptoms may not be affected by the EA. Some of us find relief from that, but it's not a guarantee.
