I'm one of the ones who would do it again in a heartbeat...I had a Novasure ablation with hysteroscopy in my gyn's office 4 months ago...he gave me some meds to help relax me...2 vicodin, a valium and a large shot of toradol...I had to also take cytotec the day before to help soften the cervix...he also had me take advil for 3 days before my procedure...honestly the worst part of the whole procedure was when he numbed the cervix...and if you can handle having novacaine for dental work you can handle this...because that's what it felt like...it was strange having someone stick me with a needle in that area though...as for pain during the actual ablatin it was like having strong cramps but I found if I took a couple of deep breaths I was fine...and with Novasure it only took mine 94 seconds...some are quicker and some take longer but Novasure won't go longer than 2 minutes...I did have some cramping that day and for a few days after...I used advil for the cramps...my discharge lasted about 1 1/2 weeks...I did find if I over did things I would cramp and that lasted a couple of weeks...continue to ask you questions and make a decision that's best for you...take care
