I also had the in-office procedure but it was under sedation so I didn't feel anything during it and immediately afterwards I was fine but the pain did start in a short time later and continued to get more and more severe. I had a delay on getting pain medicine and that added to the problem of getting the pain under control. Normally I have a high pain tolerance so this took me my surprise. I would suggest that you discuss pain management option ahead of time and have a prescription in hand or ahead of time in case you need it. If you don't, all the better. But if you do, you don't want to have to wait for it when the pain can and should be controlled. After a I got the pain medicine to work it, it was not very long before I was back to a mostly normal routine. I also have four kids so there is not much down time that can be taken and I didn't have any problems once I was comfortable.
