Breathe, Prissy... breathe!  It sounds like you're still just healing.  I too had the resectoscopic ablation (it was supposed to be the balloon, but things didn't go quite as planned) and I had a fair amount of watery blood to begin with, and at least some sort of discharge for a full six weeks.  You're the "occasionally more" statistic, I bet.  That makes you "Special" (it's what the ladies here call me too-- small consolation, but we just have to accept it  ).

I'm pinning my hopes on stopping my periods at age 53, cuz that's when both my mother and sister stopped.  Apparently there's a strong family correlation-- any idea about your mother or siblings?  Meanwhile I've turned to a Naturopath to help me get my hormones into some sort of balance.  I seem to have rather excessive swings one way or the other (that or I'm just super sensitive to small changes) but I couldn't handle the hormones my GP and Gyn put me on.  It's too early to tell if they are working, though the night sweats seem to have stopped for now.

It sure doesn't help that this is a stress-filled age for most women.  Most of us are dealing with kids moving out, parents growing old and frail, our own health changing...  But you're certainly not alone.  Feel free to vent here any old time you need to.  We'll always listen and understand!

Good luck with your call tomorrow, but like I said, I'm almost willing to bet the doc will say "Just give it more time".  (Come back and tell me if I'm right-- okay?)
