Yes, the increased flow could be related to your menstrual cycle.  It is fairly typical to keep the same cycle and even if bleeding doesn't occur or increase, to have more pms, cramps, etc. during the first cycle or three after ablation.

Constipation is a common side effect of Rx meds.  A stool softener is the way to go  - avoid laxatives as they can lead to increased cramping.  Also, plenty of water.  Your body needs extra fluids to deal with all of this.  Left side pain can be the descending bowel irritating the left ovary and uterus.  So, yes they can be linked.

If the pain does not improve, or if you experience any severe bleeding (more than a max pad per 1/2 hour) then you should see your dr.
