Hello Jamie and welcome to the board...Deb was right I had a completely opposite experience and I'm so glad I did it.  Although I'll admit I was totally freaked out about the whole thing especially after what happened with Deb.  But like she said she is one of the unlucky ladies who had problems (and yes Deb you are "special"Smiliesbow).    Now about me...I'm 46 (had my ablation almost 2 years ago).  The reason for my ablation is that my periods were becoming longer.  My periods were about 21 days apart from start to start and lasted about 13 days so I had about 8 days a month with no bleeding.  My periods were not extremely heavy just long.  I had Novasure ablation in my gyn's office with just enough meds to make me comfortable.  It was a textbook perfect experience for me.  Yes, I still have some bleeding but it is very light spotting a couple days a month that just shows up on the tpBeautiful.  I don't even bother with pads or panty liners for it.   Would I do it again?  You bet.  Like Deb said...talk to your doctor.  Ask what if questions...I did and I really made my doctor think.  I went in to my preop visit with a bunch of questions for my doctor and he answered them all which made me feel better.  So in my opinion...Go for it...best thing I've ever done for me.  Ask your questions and make a decision that's best for you...take care and keep us posted.
