Hi Hoovermoose welcome to the site!
I too was new three weeks ago and found so many helpful nice people here that really made me feel at ease and I've learned alot too.
I'm 42 have endometriosis and have had very heavy bad periods every since I got my period it hasn't been fun specically the fun mess of having my period since last summer up till my Novasure I had April 5th.
I have to tell you to be honest it was the best thing I did i'm glad I went through it. I had it done in my doctor's office the place I have been going for many, many years. They made me feel very comfortable . It was a really clean quiet enviroment. They gave me a heavy duty med to put me to sleep I felt and knew nothing. Before I knew it I was awake and talking and couldn't believe it was over with.
Don't be scared do what you feel you need for your health and listen to your doctor's advice. I was nervous too after reading the negitive things in the posts but there was so many postive ones that out weighed the negitive and I knew in my gutt feeling that the EA would be good for me. No more suffering.
So to be honest the hard part was the first 6-8 hours of discomfort , pain but after that it started to get better as the day ended by bed time I was feeling really tired and ready to sleep. The next day I woke up and all the pain was gone! Couldn't believe it. Just felt pressure and alittle sore , tried walking around but that was expected so I just read my body and too advantage and rested. The 3rd day i was out shopping and fine and 4th day I went out with friends and cleaned the house. Not bad! In my case I had only two days of bleeding and so far so good no more period or bleeding . I did have the day of weeping the clear stuff that comes out. But other then that I have been really good and back to my exercise.

I wish you well and if you get it hope you have great results. Stay postive, healthy get plenty of rest and fluids in you a few days before you have it done and you will be set to go.

Keep us posted.
