July 13th is just around the corner! "Ablation day" in my world. Went for final consult with my doc today--all is set. I am having thermal ablation done, so we'll see how that works out. As I am 54 and my periods are right on schedule and heavy, with not a single sign of menopause so far, I can honestly say I'm ready to be done with this stuff. Heck, without this, I may be having periods until I'm 80, who knows?

I have several prescriptions for: two levels of pain meds--mega strength ibuprofen & percocet, and also some nausea preventing pills (Zofran), one single Xanax to calm the nerves and some kind of funky Opiate suppository, along with Torodol as an injectable.

The 800 mg ibuprofen I am to take every six hours, for 48 hours prior to the procedure. I can say this should help--I had read from somebody on here to take 4 ibuprofen an hour prior to the biopsy and I have to say it helped--I had not the first pain. The entire rest of those prescriptions I was supposed to get filled and bring with me to the procedure in the office for the ablation. Pretty good way for the office to not have to stock meds needed for procedures. No food or drink after midnight. Hubby going with me because you can't drive yourself home. I was told to expect to be there in the office from about 8 am until probably 11am or noonish. (actual procedure scheduled for 9am).

So, I have all meds needed, and am just biding my time until A-Day. Will return for a full report later !
