Very interesting we are all finding out we have bicornate or septate uterus NOW. I was dx'd with a huge subserosal fibroid in February as well as the realization that I have a septate uterus. Ok I should correct that and say I HAD a septate uterus, as I needed to have a total hysterectomy 5 weeks ago because of the subserosal fibroid. But it did kind of put it all together regarding my ablation I had back in 2001 - I never completely stopped having periods and ONE side of the tampon would have blood on it, not evenly covered. I just assumed the balloon touched one side and burned it better than the other side, but even after regular and transvaginal ultrasounds no one mentioned the septate issue to me. Crazy. I never tried to get pregnant, so I guess I skipped some possible heartache in case that would have been a problem with getting pregnant.
From my reading, this isn't caused by ablation or anything else, it's just the way we were formed early on. I'm glad you gals were able to have your babies with no problems!
