Good afternoon ladies. My cryoablation was over 2 1/2 years ago and I hung around this site for several months afterwards. Those of you that remember, know that I was extemely pleased and when the post-procedure bleeding finally quit, I remailed bloodless. No periods for over 2 years has been wonderful!
However....totally out of the blue, totally unexpected, and without warning, two weeks ago today I flooded horribly! Thankfully I was at home. The bleeding has not quit and has varied from light to "normal" to so heavy that I'm changing pads every 15 minutes.
I'm calling my gyn in the morning to see what my options are. I'm really thinking that I should have a hyster and be done with it. It makes me wonder how successful the cryo was really was. Because, you see, all this time, since the cryo, I've been on birth control pills non stop (no break every 4th week), and I'm wondering if the pills have been preventing the bleeding and not the cryo. If the lining had grown back wouldn't you think the bleeding would have started light and gradual?
I'm just venting my frustration with the ladies that I know will understand. If any of you have any suggestions for questions I should ask the dr when I call tomorrow, it would be appreciated. I"ve started a list, but to be quite honest, I'm feeling almost angry that this has started again. I know, I know...I should be thankful for the bloodless 2 1/2 years, and I am, but I don't want to start this nightmare all over again.
