Hi All;
I've been here before, but not recently, and you ladies were great.
I have no idea if my current problem has anything to do with EA, but wondered if anything sounds familiar to anyone. Please bear with me, its rather long and convuluted
.
I had EA done July 2009, everything went fine, and no period at all since then.
Fast forward to Oct 1st 2010. I had sudden sharp pains just slightly inside the vagina, horrible tearing pains, but they went away quickly. Since then, I have been sort of crampy off and on, almost like I was going to get my period, but nothing.
Two days before Christmas, I developed a small cyst? on the vulvar area. Within about 5 days, it was the size of a golfball, partly on the outside but mostly up inside. Went to the hospital, doc thought possibly Bartholins gland cyst, though he found it a bit odd to get the first one at age 45. He put me on antibiotics, told me to take 3-4 Epsom salts baths per day, and that this lump should either shrink and go away, or be ready to drain.
By yesterday, it was huge, must be hitting nerves because I'm having pains down my leg. I was about to get into Epsom salts bath again, when suddenly pain eased considerably, but I was bleeding quite a bit (vaginally). Back to hospital where doc said 'something' had broken inside and was obviously full of blood, so possibly this is a blood clot and not a cyst. It hurt badly while he was checking me, but overall, the pain was about 50% and the lump was back to about golfball size. Felt much better.
But then I came home and got into my Epsom salts bath (as per doc's instructions), it hurt badly (literally salt on an open wound), and within an hour or so, the pain was horrible again, and lump had once again doubled in size.
No more bleeding at all, but the pain is bad and lump is large.
I'm heading into my own doc tomorrow, but thought I would check to see if anyone has experienced this before? I know various cysts can be common, but I've never had one before, and this appears to be full of blood. Thoughts on if the epsom salts may have closed the drain again to let it fill with blood?
Thanks for any help ladies...I'm getting desperate...only hurts if I cough, sneeze, walk, sit, get up...you probably know the feeling.
