Had Novasure on 3/31.
Had watery bleeding with turned into just brown spotting.
2 days ago I went out for lunch with friends. I was using my pantyliners I've been using since the ablation.
My pants felt wet, and I had bled bright red blood on the chair at the restaurant. I was mortified.
I did have a full sized pad in my purse, but my underwear were soaked.
My friend was kind enough to run to Target down the road and buy me new underwear and a pair of cheap sweatpants until I got home. Those sweatpants did not look cool at all, but at least they weren't bloody.
It's been 2 days of now constant heavy bright red bleeding. I've resorted to using my super tampons, which I was hoping I wouldn't have to use again. If I don't use the tampons then I overbleed my pads. I'm using Always Overnight pads.
When I saw the doctor on 4/11 for my 2 week checkup, the doctor told me to expect that spotting. It shouldn't be any more than the light discharge I had after surgery, and then within 6 weeks I shouldn't have any discharge at all. That doesn't even sound realistic.
Has anyone else had this happen with sudden heavy bleeding post ablation? Is there any hope that I will ever be "normal"?
Do you ladies carry maxi pads with you at all times just in case you have heavy bleeding? I wasn't expecting to have to use anything other than a pantyliner. I stupidly thought I'd never have to use a tampon ever again (except maybe a light kind if I went swimming, you know?)
